Kosher Inspector - 529.687-126; Coal Sampler - 922.687-038 - Occasional Handling, No Fingering

We used the SCO and the aptitudes for dexterity to show that there really are not a significant number of jobs for a person limited to light work (six hours of standing/walking), occasional handling, and no fingering. There is more than one way to tackle the problem. We look at kosher inspector (DOT 529.687-126) and coal sampler (DOT 922.687-038) through the O*Net and Occupational Requirements Survey.

Kosher inspector (DOT 529.687-126) and coal sampler (DOT 922.687-038) belong to inspectors, testers, sorters, samples, and weighers (SOC 51-9061) ("inspectors testers").  Inspectors testers have irregular or seasonal schedules in 15% of jobs and work less than 40 hours per week in 7% of jobs.  Inspectors testers never sit in 18% of jobs; continually sit in 3% of jobs; stand continually in 31% of jobs; and never stand in 2% of jobs.  Inspectors testers never use their hands in 3% of jobs and less than half the time in 12% of jobs.  We use the O*NET work context reports to prove the point:
